Can AI assistants read your website?

Your robots.txt
This file tells crawlers which pages they can visit. One wrong line can keep a whole site out of AI search. We check the rules for each AI crawler.
Your firewall
We request your page the way each AI crawler does. Security settings often turn them away without anyone noticing. Cloudflare, for one, can block AI crawlers by default.
The page itself
Most AI crawlers don’t run JavaScript. If your text only appears after scripts load, they see an empty page. We also check for noindex and snippet settings.
Search and training are different
Some crawlers find pages to show and link in AI answers. Others collect pages to train AI models. Blocking training is a reasonable choice, and it doesn’t stop you appearing in answers. We report the two separately.
What this check can’t tell you
Whether an assistant will mention or recommend you. Being readable is the first step; what’s on your pages decides the rest.
Our test requests come from our server, not from the AI companies. Real crawlers use their own IP addresses, and some firewalls treat them differently.
